Cate-in-the-Wood

I grew up in a house. It was a nice house - mostly square with bits that jutted out here and there to break up the overall squareness. It had a roof. It was a nice roof. I remember when the heavy rains would come in the summer; we had brief thunderstorms almost every afternoon. That roof always stood valiantly between us and every one of those raindrops. Yes, it was a quite a roof. Sometimes while it was raining I would draw. I would also draw when it was sunny out. The light helped. Since the compulsion to draw followed me into adulthood I thought I'd keep it up. Sometimes it rains and sometimes not.
